The
Wellness Community of Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky is
committed to providing cancer patients and their families in
our community with quality programs and support services. One
of 22 such communities nationwide, we have experienced more
than 70,000 visits from cancer patients and their loved ones,
including children, since 1990. Furthermore, we continue our
commitment to providing these and additional services free
of charge.
In March 2001, we moved to our new home, The Lynn Stern Center,
named in memory of our founding director. Centrally located in
Blue Ash, this 10,000 square foot facility offers ample space
for group rooms, music and art therapy, massage therapy, a
resource library, demonstration kitchen and also for the first
time, a fitness area geared towards the special needs of
cancer patients.
Our new home provides The Wellness Community with an
opportunity to expand programs and services in a home-like
setting. By giving to The Lynn Stern Center, you are creating
a place for cancer patients and their families to share, learn
and grow.
Our goal is to raise $5.0 million for the development and
construction of the new facility.
We have received to date $3,044,548.34 in pledges and gifts.
